I picked up this flip-latch for an outside gate to lock it shut from the inside and it seems pretty decent. The metal construction is thick and very solid, though the backing has a seam that seems to indicate two pieces. The product listing claims "zinc alloy," but it doesn't look to be galvanized and I am a little skeptical this will hold up outside without rusting - I'll definitely update this review if it starts to rust.I don't know why some sellers will sell and good product and use terrible screws, but these are really not good. The heads are nominally Phillips or Posidrive (having the etched lines), but they did not fit any of my zillion bits properly and wobbled during install. They're not particularly long or heavy gauge, and I am almost certain they will rust over time as they are definitely not galvanized. As soon as they do, I'll go pick up some longer exterior wood screws and replace them. If you have some on hand, just throw these in the garbage and use proper screws instead.

I am reviewing the MINMHDONGX -180 Degree Keyless Cabinet Lock Easy to Install on One-Way Door Drawer Double Door Lock (Luminous Black).....This is a great little latch to keep things closed. It is well made with quality metals and workmanship. I have a grooming shop in my home and this little latch has come in handy for a few different uses, that I will have to buy some just for all the projects I have that need privacy or security. For one, the cabinet that holds my blade lubricants and clipper oils and cleaners. The cabinet with all my shampoos and conditioners. Even the bathroom door. The uses are only limited to your imagination. Overall a great product that I have and will continue to recommend to friends family and others with a need.

This is going to be a much better latch for the goose door than the current hook latch. The thickness and durability of the metal is impressive. I definitely recommend this, with a 5-Star rating for a GREAT quality product.

I got this to use on the inside of two sliding doors that I am installing on the front of our skinning shed at our cabin. I wanted a way to keep the doors closed together while I am inside and this will be much better than an eye bolt and hook. There is no play in this latch so when the wind's blowing the doors won't smack around. Seems to be very well made and the material is sturdy.

I put these on a wood shed outside. It doesn't need a large latch, but it's in a dark part of the yard. The glow in the dark feature is really nice when we're having bonfires and need more wood. I can easily see the latch without having to pull out a flashlight. The metal is heavy and thick so I don't have to worry about storms whipping the doors to the shed open.
