About this item

  • 【Transparent Cover】: The transparent cover can keep the environment more humid, while the plants get enough light to grow, which is very suitable for balconies, courtyards, kitchens, etc.
  • 【Dense Small Holes】: Sprouting container has dense small holes, which are convenient for seeds to take roots easily, and can absorb sufficient water and nutrients to help your plants grow quickly.
  • 【High Quality】: Seed sprouter is made of plastic material. Compared with other seedling trays, it avoids rust, is easier to clean, convenient to use, has high drainage efficiency, and the seeds germinate quickly without mold.
  • 【No Soil Required】: Sprouting tray is suitable for your daily use, helping your fruits, vegetables and flowers grow better. No soil is needed, only water you can taste latest vegetables at home.
  • 【Wide Application】: Sprouting kit can germinate various small seeds, such as mung beans, bean sprouts, wheat grass, cat grass, lentils, sunflower seeds, alfalfa, vanilla, and greenish.

How to sprout?
1. Please choose the seeds which are specifically for sprouting. Soak them in water.
2. After soaking, pick out the bad seeds and put the good seeds in the grid tray evenly. Don't stack them.
3. Add water into the container tray. The water can't come up to the grid tray. Don't submerge seeds in water, otherwise it will rot. To avoid breeding bacteria and smell, please change water for 1~2 times every day.
4. Cover it with lid. If there's no lid, cover it with paper or cotton gauze. To keep the seeds wet, please spay some water for 2~4 times every day.
5. When the buds grow up to 1cm height, remove the lid. Spray some water for 3~5 time every day. 6. The seeds germination time varies from 3 to10 days. Before harvested, put them in sunlight for 2~3 hrs to increase chlorophyll.

This is a decent quality product with and has proven to be just the right size to grow microgreens for 1-2 people eating them on a daily basis. They are pretty convenient because of their 9x13 size which lets you place them just about anywhere and being so small you can grow more varieties at the same time in less space. The only negative I've found is the handle molded into the lid is to smooth and difficult to grab and it interferes with stacking. A handle isn't really needed for trays this small!

Très bien, mais pas fonctionnelle pour les petites graines de germinations. Elles passent au travers des trou.

Strong but smaller trays are best for supporting soil blocks. The 2" & 4" blocks weigh a lot when watered. These small trays could still twist with a load of four big blocks if you held them with one hand but these support that weight much better than a heavy duty 1020. I splurged and bought some shallow Bootstrap trays but there is no way I could carry a full load of 4" blocks on them. Too much twist due to the length. As much as I would prefer to buy North American made, these serve the purpose better and were more affordable as well. The quality is the key. If these didn't have the quality, I would not recommend them, but they do, so I recommend them. I added wicking mats on top of the white tray and ran some wicking string through the holes. This helped with keeping the blocks from drying out too fast. The outside corner blocks get exposed to more air and still dry out faster than the rest. For 4" blocks, I just used the green tray only. More sturdy that way and they can be watered from the base as they soak it up well.

These just arrived. Trying it out for the first time with a ‘broccoli brassica blend’ of seeds (includes broccoli, raab, radish, mustard, and arugula). The trays are quite a bit larger than I was expecting and seem to be well enough made. The problem, which I noticed immediately after opening the package, is that the holes in the middle tray are quite large. Most seeds will fall through to the bottom. The product description specifically mentions that it can be used to sprout alfalfa, which has tiny seeds that would fall through to the bottom of the tray immediately, making that second layer essentially functionless. I guess it would work fine for larger seeds (legumes, sunflower seeds etc). I will try lining it with cheesecloth and see how it goes. Something I would have appreciated knowing before buying for sure.
