In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at ''prices even a pauper could afford.''

Nicer in person than judging by the photo. This journal arrived today and it's gorgeous. I'm looking forward to using it and will have a hard time putting it down - seriously, it's that nice looking. Well constructed, nice laying on the table to see the gilt page edges. Lots of lines to jot things down. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Arrived well packaged in a box. Had some concerns Amazon might send it via envelope and I'd have smashed in corners. Nope - arrived in excellent condition.

Very nice notebook. Classy cover, paper nice quality - I only wish they did these with plain unlined pages. Good value, I will keep these in mind for future purchases.

I use this as a planner for my music production, and it's perfect for that. While it's a bit small for a diary, the design is absolutely stunning—taken from an 1893 book binding for a Shakespeare collection, which is a dream for any Art Nouveau fan. The paper is a great thickness, and my ballpoint pen glides smoothly over it. Plenty of pages to last a long time, and it feels far more expensive than it is. A total beauty!

I love these journals and i have almost 10 of these from different places but i would say i. Love this the most the texture and its quality makes a lot of difference . I feel better while using this . Definitely recommend to buy 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

These are my favourite journals. I will be purchasing one of each cover because they are so beautifully crafted. The paper is thick, making it great for using a fountain pen with no bleed through. I highly recommend.
