Alright, folks, don’t waste your money on this one! The mice in my house are straight-up mocking me. They waltzed right past this trap like it was a “Do Not Enter” sign, munching around it like it’s a buffet. The ladder? Yeah, they didn’t even glance at it. It takes up WAY too much space for something that the mice probably think is just a fun new playground. Honestly, I think the mice are laughing at me from their little mouse hideout. Save yourself the trouble – they’re winning!

it's well made but a bit tricky to put together without accidentally breaking something. DO NOT CUT the little tabs on trap door. The open end will sag down and the mice can jump clear. They are supposed to crawl under the hood to prevent this. To bait the trap smear something sticky on the roof of the hood and stick a cracker to it, I'm also using some commercial attractant

Works great! A little flimsy but got it together and put it on a bucket this morning and popped in our crawl space and by the time I got home from work I had caught 3 mice. We live next to a forest so we always have critters. I smeared peanut butter under the top cover and put some bird seed in the bucket. Worked perfectly.

Looks stupid and the no bucket thing was awkward (BYOB... Bring your own bucket). Set it up (very easy, not sure what people were complaining about). I was going to throw it away but lo and behold, the bucket contained 2 mice! I did what I wanted it to do.

This is a great product. A lot of other reviews say it is cheaply made, which is half correct. It is just plastic! Don't expect this thing to be made of stainless steel but if used properly it will last a lifetime. I have caught probably 23 mice just by adding a 1/2 tsp of sunflower seeds to the trap when I see it empty. The mice keep coming! Without this device, I would be finding a million mice, dead, behind the walls of the garage the next time I want a reno.I may be getting another one for outdoors this summer!

It's quite flimsy. The pieces are hard to put together and when they are together they are not sturdy. The black flap gets stuck and renders it useless until manually reset

This kit came with inadequate assembly instructions, at least for me. When I did figure out how to put it together, some of the pieces were difficult to attach (again, for me). Once fully assembled, it did fit perfectly on a standard 5-gallon pail. However, the tilt platform was so sensitive that even a small dab of peanut butter caused it to tilt, making it ineffective. I attempted to bypass this by placing the bait on the inside of the cover over the tilt platform. By morning, the bait was gone, but no mice in the pail. I checked everything again, and discovered that without extremely careful setting, the tilt platform tended to snag on an extraneous bit of plastic. I tapped the plastic bit down, and tried again. Same result: bait gone, no mice. Maybe the mice were somehow jumping back up out of the pail, or climbing up the sides? Then I realized that in order for the bait to be gone from the inside of the cover, the mouse would have to be able to spend some time standing on the tilt platform, without triggering the tilt. I have a couple more ideas to try, but I am not hopeful. I think that this will turn out to have been a waste of money, On the plus side, it LOOKS as if it should work, it LOOKS just like the ones in the videos. All the pieces do fit together properly, and the tilt works when even a small weight is placed on it near the bait. Maybe I am dealing with Mission Impossible mice that drop down from the ceiling on woven cobwebs.
