These new hubs fit the 2003 Toyota Corolla. Keep in mind it may be difficult to take off the old hub bearings if they are rusted in place so be prepared for a full day of work and spare parts if necessary. Make sure to double-check that one is ordering all the right parts such as the correct brake pads beforehand if changing anything else at the same time. It took a long time to get the old hubs off. I'll post some before, during and after photos. The first two photos are of the old rusted hub and bearing from front and back. It made a very bad grinding sound as the rust was crushed into pieces inside the bearing while the vehicle was driving above 60 km/h it was pretty loud and audible and a bit scary. The third photo is how we managed to get the hub off. It took a while and we tried everything suggested in the Youtube videos and ToyotaNation forums and eventually we managed to get it off. In the first photo the brake line was also looking pretty bad and upon taking out the old hub bearing from behind it broke but we managed to find that spare part from Canadian Tire for about 3 CAD and were able to replace it pretty easily. As for the 4 bolts holding in the hub bearing one will need to re-use those bolts since the new AutoShack hubs do not come with any. In the fourth photo, we show the rust converter and cleaner we used on the bolts and parts which is surprisingly difficult to find in a spray can in Canada. In the fifth and sixth photos, one can see what it looks like with the old hub bearing completely removed. Took the time to remove flaky rust with a wire brush, then sanded with some 40 grit sandpaper followed by application of a rust converter. After that, we painted the area with some auto rust-friendly paint and fixed up the break line before installing the new AutoShack hub. The seventh and eighth photos are to show the other parts that one may need to repair or tidy up while changing out the hub bearing. The ninth photo is showing the newly installed AutoShack hub and brake line. The installation of the brake drum and pads can be seen in other photos and videos on Google or Youtube. Overall these photos are to give an idea of what one could face if one were to try to take on the project at home. This particular 2003 Toyota Corolla was out of service for about 3 days because of unexpected issues. Eventually, we got it working and after the last weeks of driving there have been no problems with the hubs. Also replaced front hub bearings from AutoShack previously but they were much easier to change compared to what is shown here. The next project in the autumn/fall is dealing with the rest of the rust under the vehicle. Such as putting on a rust converter, black rust paint where possible and then some rust protection to help better protect the vehicle from the upcoming winter. Hopefully, this experience is helpful to someone about to take on the job.
