Even though the battery spot was closed completely the batteries leaked acid and were rusted and the spring for the batteries was damaged and it no longer worked after less than two months of using it.

I really liked this little thermometer. It is cute and seemed accurate enough.I was only using it for me while I am pregnant so I don't make my bath too hot.I wasn't playing with it like a kid might, and was always careful with it.I always rinced and towel dried it after a bath.A few months in it stopped working. Assuming the batteries were dead I opened it up, only to find the whole inside, batteries and all corroded. I don't like thinking about if any of it seeped into my bath :-(

We’ve had this for almost one year. It works great still even after changing battery. No rust or leaking seal on battery closure. Baby likes to play with it. Haven’t checked too many times with a separate thermometer to see if it’s accurate (did it when I first got it and it was accurate) but I just use my hands to test water and when the thermometer is saying too hot or cold I check and it does feel accurate so good enough for me. Would recommend

We enjoy the look of it much more then the regular ducky. The digital temp is also nice and works great. The temperature gage works well with colours to help kids understand as well.
