I used this to replace a sliding patio door latch that had been damaged beyond hope. I had to make a small extending plate to screw or rivet this to (the latch screw holes would otherwise line up with and the screws would damage the glass in the sliding door) and then screw the plate to the door. A little finicky but way better than trying to repair the original latch

These brackets can be installed at 180degrees to fix two barn doors together, AND at 90 degrees on the left or right hand of the door. This is all in the the marketing details, but what a joy to screw to the doors and door frames. I would recommend these every time.

Very well made lock feels solid and durable. The lock knob has a small ball bearing that gives a satisfying click when it locks.

My cat kept opening my bathroom sliding barn door on me. Due to the gap from the overhead roller mechanism a regular latch wouldn't work, but this is perfect. Easy to install and looks good.
