Former headquarters

Our Company History

In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy—and our customers’ expectations—of beauty, quality, and value.

It came very quickly and it really is of good quality. The pages are all gold tipped and the paper isn't super thin. I like to use just a ball point pen and apply nature stickers (butterflies, flowers, birds etc.) and it looks an absolute treat in this classy looking journal. Highly recommend!

Stunning journal. The colors are vibrant. The bird and leaves are a bit raised to make it even more elegant. Paper is thick. I already bought a second one to have on hand when I fill this one up.

I have several Peter Pauper press journals and will continue to buy them! The paper is of excellent quality; it's smooth and easy to write. The gold edging on the outside of the paper is beautiful and makes it even more worth it. It is a lovely journal; I have recommended it to everyone I know who writes!

awesome quality, beautiful design. would definitely recommend if you want a fancy notebook for whatever purpose (pages are also fairly thick, ink doesn’t tend to leak through)

The hard cover is super high quality and the leaves have indented shiny gold lines and it’s beautiful. The edges of the pages are shiny gold too so when it’s closed and you looks at the side it’s shiny and pretty. The paper is very high quality and ink doesn’t spill through. I intend to buy more of these in the future for sure and love the variety of covers they have to pick from!!! I’m using this one as a scrap book and the pages are the perfect size to fit 2 Polaroids + remarks and dates.

This is my 3rd journal from this brand, and I am in love with them all. The cover designs are darling, stunning, high quality. The binding is sturdy and strong. I've filled 2 of these journals, which takes over a year to do becasue they are quite thick and I don't journal daily, and these books hold up beautifully. They still look new after years of use,.
