Both mats have spots that remain cold (at the end opposite the plug). One has about 4" with no heat and the other is almost 10". Unfortunately, I had to get my seeds started and don't have time to wait for a replacement/refund. Totally my issue. I had to overlapped the mats to cover the cold spots, losing essentially the equivalent of one mat.I have several of the exact same style mats that were purchased on Amazon same price range but different brand. I won't be buying these again.

I now have six of these mats and used them this past spring to keep my seedlings warm over a six-week period. As directed in the instructions I was mindful not to plug too many into an outlet or load the electrical outlets with extension cords. I unplugged them during the day to avoid long-term continuous use. There was no superheating, they were resistant to humidity and they cleaned easily. A good product. A five-star rating would awarded if they came with a temperature regulator.

This mat isn't something that allows you to control the temperature, it's either on or it's off. Warms up well though and the plants that I had on it loved the heat. It was cheaper than some of the other options out there.I'd buy it again.

Looked at various products that could maintain the temperature of my starter or to proof my dough. Kickstarter product was over $200!This works perfectly to do both activities. Nice doubling of the starter overnight and great first proof of the finished dough. At 1/10 of the kickstarter tool this is a winner. Nice that the mat can be used for heating my seedlings as well!

First time using heating mats to get my seeds started and some were sprouting within days. Definitely much quicker than previous years. There is no temperature regulation on the mats but I don't find it is necessary. Temperature is constant and nothing has dried out but I am diligent about checking on them daily and misting them to maintain moisture. I remove the seedlings from the mats once sprouted to avoid damaging them.My only complaint is that I wish these came in a bigger size. Between my grow lights and these mats, there's a lot of cords to work around to mist the plants.

The heat pad(s) work under my turtle tank, and the turtle, a now 5 inch Red Slider does capitalize on the heat generated, but tank water is only raised from 73º to 76º not the optimal 78º which may require the second heat pad.Also, there is a electrical control LUMP inside the end of the pad which restricts the utilization of the whole pad, 1.5 inches has to remain beyond the flat tank bottom. I'm in Florida so the water in the tank is not cold, but in northern climates where temperatures are maintained at lower degrees, I would use both pads under the 30 gallon tank.

These heating pads are fantastic for germinating seeds and keeping seedlings toasty warm! Also, great for my terrariums. So easy to use and so effective! I have 3! Thank you for a great product!

This product is as simple as plug in, place a few peat pots in a tray with whatever seed you desire. Wait a few days for your seedlings to appear and remove the heat pad. DO NOT leave the heat pad under your seedling once they’ve sprouted, you’ll kill them.Simple product yet effective. I highly recommend!!! I hope this helps, good luck gardeners...

Germination of seeds was helped with this product. Price was excellent as you received two for less than the price of one in the store! My garden season has begun with a strong start thanks to these heat mats!

The Product is great. Purchased the pads to increase my seed germination. Within one week of planting tomato and carrots seeds, I had some visible growth. I'm pleased with the current result because I was late in planting my seeds.
