Tighten the nut.

Tear off the transparent cardboard on the back and stick it on a smooth surface.

I purchased this sisal climbing carpet after careful review of many. I chose this one as they had pre-made grommets in the corners and in mid-perimeter. I bought my own screws, anchors, washers, and heavy duty plastic Command Strip plastic interlocking fasteners. I bought what I knew would hold it securely against the wall; my cats won’t try again after a bad experience.I held it still, marked my pencil marks, drilled my own pilot holes. I stretched it taut to keep it secure. I put some catnip on the carpet but they haven’t caught on to climb it yet.I recommend this product, but do suggest purchasing your own anchors, washers, screws, and Command Strips, extra large, removable, plastic, interwoven kind. My cat is not cross eyed; he was excited.

My cat and my roommates cat love to climb, especially when they get the zoomies. We put this on an area that they can catapult onto from the couch. It came with nails and special covers (that's what I used to attach it to the wall) it also came with these clear, sticky screw like things. I'm thinking it's for if you wanted to put in on a couch or something else. I didn't use them because I didn't feel like they would stay on the wall. I introduced it to the cats and they still aren't too sure about it, but I know the cats and they will figure it out. If you have a climber cat or one who like to scratch, the material is high quality and I can tell it will last a long time.

I can easily move this scratching carpet from the wall down to the floor when my cat feels like a change.
