I put one of these in my BCD (buoyancy compensator) so I'd have a mirror in case a dive boat doesn't show up some day. The view finder is really confusing, but the mirror works great. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it to obtain a rescue, but it's nice to know I have it. I'd give it 5 stars if I could figure out the view finder.

I've been happy so far, the whistle is nice and its compact size made it easy to fit in the pouch with my DSMB (custom mesh pouch I made on my sewing machine). There are no metal parts and I've had no issues with corrosion.

The plastic is so blurry that it's impossible to see more than a few meters in front of you. Good luck signalling any distant person or vehicle.Yes, I checked for and removed any protective plastic film.This heliograph mirror just doesn't work.
