I had never chiselled anything before, but after watching a YouTube video and buying a chisel I was able to chisel a mortise for these without any problems. Once installed they work beautifully to securely keep our doors closed (and keep the toddler from letting themselves out!).

These work fantastic for us for our toddler who has mastered all other door locks and it gives up piece of mind that they won't be able to wander outside at night (we live next to a very busy highway) also just an extra security lock makes you feel safer inside. Super secure and easy to lock and unlock once you get the hang of it.

These work great for securing your door. Just ensure you follow the included installation instructions carefully. You will likely have to use a chisel to cut out part of your door jam to fit these in properly, otherwise, the door will rub on it when opening and closing. But, once installed properly, these do exactly what they are mean to do. I installed mine high on the door so our 6 year old could not reach them. I recommend this product.

The device is easy to lock and straight forward to install. The screws that accompanied the lock were not solid. One of the screw heads snapped off when I put it on which is not comforting knowing it’s there to hold the lock in place. I instead used wood screws or deck screws to hold it in. I feel pretty confident the actual locking device itself would be durable so I would recommend the product I would just suggest you use different screws to secure it to your door frame.
