Looks great, fit perfectly, made of metal and not plastic. You do not need a gasket for the housing, the thermostat has a rubber ring that keeps the coolant sealed

Even though Amazon claims it isn't for the Ram, it does fit perfect. Nice quality item feels thicker than original Mopar part.

I've ran it several hundred miles and no issues at all on my 2003 RAM 1500 5.7. I thought it would maybe be plastic upon ordering but I was glad to find out it's metal, feels just as good as the OEM one minus 20 years of age and rust

Perfect fit. Bolted up without issue. You do NOT need to order a paper gasket for this. The rubber surrounding the thermostat acts as the gasket.
