In our humble abode, the sound of the word 'Peanut Butter' is the equivalent of uttering 'Open Sesame'. No sooner than the syllables leave your lips, our canine companion - Duke, our beagle- comes sprinting, his tail wagging with the force of a metronome set at Allegro.So, when I discovered Dreambone's Peanut Butter Pretzel Sticks, it was as if I had found the missing piece to the jigsaw puzzle that is Puppers' gastronomical bliss. With the speed of a greyhound chasing its lure, the pretzel sticks found their way into our shopping cart.For Duke, who tips the scale at a healthy 27lbs, a whole stick turned out to be the perfect portion size. For those pet parents with smaller fur babies, the sticks can be easily customized to your pet's needs with a simple pair of kitchen shears. And fret not about the freshness of the leftover bits - the resealable bag takes care of that!Now, I must clarify that I have not - and do not plan to - personally taste test these treats. However, I am a certified connoisseur of their aroma. There's a kind of olfactory charm to the blend of peanut butter and yeasty, baked pretzels that leaves me rather impressed every time the bag is unsealed.When it came to the crucial taste test, our usually voracious Dike surprised us. His approach to these pretzel sticks was not the same as his usual "devour first, ask questions later" attitude towards food. Rather, he took on the air of a discerning food critic, carrying each stick ceremoniously to the privacy of his bed, and savoring it at a leisurely pace. If that's not a canine thumbs up, I don't know what is.That said, I must add a little caveat to this peanut buttery tale of joy. Not all canines may relish these pretzel sticks as much as Puppers does. In the circle of our furry friends, one particular doggo found them a bit hard on his tummy.Nonetheless, in the dog-eat-dog world of pet treats, these Peanut Butter Pretzel Sticks have emerged a beloved favourite, with a seal of approval straight from dukes' heart, even if they might not be every dog's cup of tea. Just remember, when you introduce these treats to your furry friend, prepare for some relentless wet-nosed nudging for more!

These dog treats are different from others. But they allow for a rewarding treat for my Vizsla in a whole foods way. I like that the ingredients are natural, and he is able to eat the entire stick without me worrying about it getting caught in his mouth or worse.He can be sensitive to some food, but hasn't had issues after eating these sticks.There isn't a strong odor with them or greasy residue after handling.

When I saw these treat sticks, I had to order them for him.Our dog is a 2.5-year-old, 45lbs Australian Cattle Dog. So, one whole pretzel stick is his serving size. If your dog is smaller, you can cut them. The first stick our dog got, I cut it into pieces with a pair of kitchen sheers for him to try it out. The bag is resealable too, so you can rest assured that they will stay fresh making them easier to divide if you need to.I can not personally attest to the flavour of these pretzel sticks but I can speak about the scent. I have to say, these treats smell good to me. They actually smell like peanut butter. There is also a light, baked pretzel smell to them.As for taste; Puppers is a garburator. He will eat just about anything. But, that said, only the VERY BEST treats get taken to his bed to be enjoyed. Each time he was given one of these Dreambone pretzel sticks, he took it to his bed so that he could take his time and enjoy it.
