The colors are not soft. They are very bright LED which was not the look I wanted with pastels. I tried to return them, but they wanted almost the full price of the item to ship them back so it was a waste of money.

I've bought pastel lights in the past and they've always been washed out. These actually glow bright pastel colors! Be sure to use fresh batteries to see the full effect. I used them to set up a spring buffet table and they added just the right ambiance. Ordering two more sets for the church Easter brunch.

These are decent pastel lights. I like that it has a timer option so every evening it lights up our kitchen. Looks nice on our wreath, perfect for Easter!

I wanted an LED pastel light string to decorate a garland and I wanted it to have a timer. I tried this light string and it was perfect. I bought several more in pastels for Easter and red, white, and blue for Memorial Day.
