☆UPDATE 07-02-2024: We purchased and additional 2 of these sprinklers for our use...the adjustable jet angle feature has been a real game changer for managing our larger areas ☆I've been through a dozen cheap impulse sprinklers - they're all made of plastic nowadays. Junk is the kindest word for them. This Gemplers impulse sprinkler has solved my everlasting complaints about cheap plastic! The spike base (two spikes for stability!) Is made of metal to be sure. They even added an integrated 'stepping plate' so you can put your weight on it and press it into the ground - just push it down with your foot! I really like the second stability spike because when your soil is loose or becomes saturated with water, this thing stays put.The large head and long swing arm make for a very good, slow swing and impulse action. Also the size of the water jet that this device can shoot is at least twice the diameter of any other impulse sprinklers I've owned. At 45~50psi with a 3/4" hose, this thing shoots a very satisfactory stream at least 60' across my yard...that's a 120' circle. Because of its slower impulse action (the tik-tik-tik) it does a very good job saturating the ground, and way less spray into the air as I've experienced with my previous sprinklers. The angle of the discharge orifice is proper for the volume it conveys.Of course the adjustment points/stops for the cycle/return cycle are all metal and are very easy to adjust but stay secure where they are set. It's really a gem of a sprinkler. I've wasted close to $200 dollars on inferior models as well as wasted large amounts of water that blew away in a mist with my other sprinklers. The old saying 'you get what you pay for' is very true. I consider the price point of this device to be very good for what I'm getting (and will continue to get) out of it.This sprinkler is a definite equipment upgrade that's been needed for a long time. The performance is pretty amazing.I have ~5 acres that I tend to and I will definitely be purchasing a few more of these to take care of hydrating my lawn.I highly recommend one or more of these sprinklers to anyone whonis serious about nurturing their lawn. Don't fool around with the cheap models from the 'Mart store. This is the real thing! Two thumbs up...for a nice healthy lawn!
