  • Using constant voltage:

Using constant voltage means that the voltage is constant and the current adjusts the output according to the requirements of the load.

Connect the power cord, turn on the switch, short press the power button, leave the power supply in the initial state, adjust the power button clockwise to the maximum, adjust the voltage to the required voltage value , connect the load to the power output black (-), red (+) terminals can be used normally.

Note: The set current must be higher than the normal operating current, otherwise constant current, DC LED and voltage drop will occur.

  • Constant current use:

Using constant current means that the current is constant and the voltage adjusts the output according to the load itself.

Plug in the power cord, turn on the switch, short press the on-off button so that the power supply is in the initial state, adjust the voltage to the desired voltage value, higher than the normal constant current work of 2 to 5V , introduce the tension. Adjust the current counterclockwise to the minimum, at this point the DC indicator lights up, the voltage slowly drops to 0V, connect the load to the output of the black (-) and red (+) terminals, set adjust the current clockwise to the current value required for normal use.

Note: The DC indicator should always be lit; if it changes to CV, you should adjust the preset voltage or decrease the constant current setting or check whether the load is connected correctly. The use of constant current should confirm that the load is suitable for the use of constant current.

I originally purchased this to power a fuel injector pulser that I was using in a home-built injector cleaner apparatus. It is a well-finished item, easy to adjust and has come in handy for various other tests etc. since then. Output is accurate, smooth and steady

A few months ago I bought this desktop power supply expecting it to have power ripple and not be very accurate because it seemed like a really good price for a 150W power supply (40 CAD) and I’m happy to say even after putting it through a lot of abuse it still works perfectly I even tested it with a cheap ossciliscope and the power ripple is oly around 100mV Peak-to-Peak. It also feels high quality with it being fully metal.

Review from a retired electrical engineer.This is a good supply for tinkering around with your electronic projects. I checked the displayed readings and they seem reasonably accurate. The user interface is a bit strange, so you need to learn how to operate it, but once you do, it works out pretty well. You do not have analog dials for voltage and current. The knobs adjust the readings digitally. There are a number of settings you can adjust, but most are described by the user manual, which is on the brief side. Most importantly however is that the power on state of the output switch can be programmed to default either on or off. This setting was described in the manual. There are a number of other settings that I don't know what they are for, but I recall seeing a YouTube video which described them. Now, If I could just find that video again. I did not measure the ripple or other performance parameters, but all seems just fine for my purposes. It is pretty easy to set either constant voltage or constant current so using to charge batteries is possible. You may want to consider the 10 AMP model which is just a little higher cost, but looks to have a different interface.
