When I receive this item I was so disappointed. Packaged very unprofessional and tops cracked/broken. They were not in its original plastic covers they looked used per photos you can tell.Looks like I will be getting my money back however very disappointed that I waited to receive them just to send them back.

End of July 2024 - C880E: I was dealing with green water the last 3 weeks. Realized it might be that my cartridges needed to be replaced. Bought the C880e cartridges and within 5 hours my pool was looking 80% better. Shipping was questionable bc it came in a box that was falling apart (no tape just lifted the top half of the box and it was open and no plastic package and a bee was in one of the pleats). Regardless, this helped tremendously compared to the hundred of dollars I spent on chemicals wondering what was wrong with my pool. The holes on the inside are smaller than the Howard filter cartridge that came with my pump (from previous home seller) and have an extra support piece that runs through the middle that the original did not have. That being said, it cleared up my pool and for that 5 stars.

These are a bit more expensive….”you get what you pay for”. I’ve tried cheaper cartridges, but had to replace them fairly quickly as they started disintegrating rapidly. These ones fit the best (tight fit), work the best to filter my pool water crystal clear, easy to clean, and last the longest. I live in AZ with dirt blowing around constantly. I have to clean these every 2-3 weeks in the summer. Which means they are working filtering out any algae brushed off the surface, plus all the dirt and dust that blows into my pool on a daily basis. Worth the extra cost in the long run.

I purchased these original Hayward cartridges instead of a less expensive generic brand after reading the generic brand reviews. My first set of cartridges lasted 5 years which is 2 years past expectancy! They fit my filter housing perfectly and do a great job filtering my pool water.

Fit perfect. I’m wondering if people are having issues with the top that goes onto these after you get the bottoms in. I tried to put the cap back onto my system and found that the tops weren’t lined up, preventing the process. Realigned them and bingo!For those that are having issues with the bottom holes seating (I had ZERO issues with this), consider using some of that pool gasket lubricant around the hole opening first. Should help slip on easier.
