Took some modding but was able to get PSP-3000 mobo n umd drive in. It definitely seems more for PSP-2000

It worked, but the quality of the plastic wasn't the best.

First off, this procedure is not for the faint of heart. Due to the design of the PSP, you aren't just replacing an outer shell. Because the back half of the shell is also the chassis, this involves a COMPLETE disassembly of the device. I do not recommend this procedure unless you are confident in your abilities and have a teardown guide open on a computer next to you (I followed the iFixIt guide). This is not a knock on this product, it's just the reality of dealing with Sony's design. As far as this product goes, I'm very happy with the actual shell pieces and less thrilled with the smaller bits. The plastic of the shell pieces seems sturdy enough, the molds were not identical to the OEM pieces, but matched in all the ways that matter (except one minor issue). Part of the process involves flexing the UMD drive cover a little bit, and this was definitely easier with the new purple cover than the original, but I also didn't feel like I was flirting with disaster by doing so.Where this kit falls down a bit is the other parts. I ended up using as many original pieces as I could. While the buttons physically are fine, the printing was sloppy and poorly centered on the face button. I opted to use all of the original buttons because it just looked better (also, I think the black buttons on purple is cool). The new metal bracket piece for the UMD drive was also noticeably flimsier than the original. Again, I kept the original. Something about the way the power switch in the silver trim piece mated up with the actual switch inside made it very stiff and nearly unusable (although the WiFi switch was fine). Again, I kept the original. the new screws were also of a lower quality metal and cammed out easier. I did end up using a few of them because of losing a couple screws in the carpet. The one place where I ran into a bit of a fit issue was due to minor differences in PSP revisions, so this is also not a knock agains this product. On my device, the lower silver trim piece with the power switch also had a piece that protruded inside to keep the UMD cover spring in place. There is a corresponding notch on the original lower shell. The iFixIt guide pictured a separate plastic piece to retain the spring, so I concluded that it was unique to whichever version of the PSP I own. The new shell did not have the notch for it, so I had to break the protrusion off (it broke off cleanly with a little bending) and I put a piece of foam rubber in to keep the spring in place. Since my PSP is hacked and I run everything off the memory card, even if this is not the best solution, I'm not really worried as I almost never open the UMD drive.Overall, while I was disappointed in the poor printing on the buttons and would have paid a few more bucks for higher quality on the other small components, I'm extremely happy with the results and I think my PSP looks amazing.
