As with all Kase products, this magnetic lens hood is a top quality product for professional photographers. It's beautifully made with thick rubber and an impeccably machined attachment ring for attaching to 82mm lens threads. Being able to quickly remove and reattach the magnetic hood when changing filters is this hood's major claim to fame.The build quality is second to none and the well thought out hood design actually provides three different positions (as described in the instruction manual), not just two like the Amazon description reads.The front rim can also be folded back (creating a third position) which I found useful when I was zoomed out to 16mm on a Canon 16mm-35mm lens which this hood works perfectly on. That little extra fold-back of the front rim allowed me to eliminate the tiny bit of vignetting that was occurring in the extreme corners of my frame when at 16mm.

I had one similar to this for another lens and I was always have to transfer the adapter ring between lenses. Now I've got a lens hood for both lenses and I don't have to swap...plus now my other magnetic filters work on both lenses...Bravo!
