Cut out circles for drain, they even provided a pair of sturdy kitchen scissors! Fit my large black kitchen sinks so less clattering of cutlery, and provides a bit of cushioning for glass items. I spray off front and back of mats when finished doing dishes, so never any food bits to stick to mats. Black colour is not affected by tomato sauce etc. Good choice.
