Your cart is empty.Whether it is a marker, fountain pen or brush pen, the 120 g/m² paper is perfectly suited to the use of different writing instruments. During production, the paper receives a smooth and particularly slippery surface thanks to the roll printing. It is gentle on the pen used and ensures a pleasantly smooth writing experience. The ink line does not flow, but keeps its contour clear. Thanks to the addition of the correct fillers, the paper has a relatively low transparency: the inscription does not show through on the back. The paper has been specially developed and manufactured in Germany.

This journal feels about how you would expect. It feels sturdy, the color is vibrant, and with how many pages it contains, it has a satisfying heft to it. The paper on the inside is smooth and I don't foresee any problems with any pens I typically write with. The back of the journal has a paper pocket slightly smaller than the journal itself. An added bonus that I did not expect were archival stickers included, including one that you can place on the spine of the journal. That was a nice addition :)Keep in mind the weight of the paper. I disagree that this is "heavyweight" - in fact, it's barely any different in thickness to copy paper. Copy paper is usually 90-120gsm, and this product is 120gsm. I was aware of this when buying due to experience in drawing, and some pens are bound to bleed through this paper. Do not buy this paper if you're expecting to be able to use substantial amounts of ink. There are other journals better equipped for that.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with it. It's a nice product that feels premium quality.

120g smooth paper. Tried a variety of fountain pens with various nib widths an inks. No bleed, no feathering, no ghosting. Works for me!

Beautiful aesthetic, good quality paper, holds up very well under a fountain pen. The construction and paper quality is much better than Moleskins. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a high quality notebook!

The notebook is definitely on the pricier side, but it's well constructed and the pages are thick and smooth. I used a dark black gel pen and there is a little bit of shadowing when you view the page through the light, but no bleed through.I use the notebook as a daily task planner for work, a to-do list on the left and notes about the tasks on the right.

LOVE LOVE LOVE all the Leuchtturm Products. The 120 gsm is beautiful just was a little too much for my needs. Was looking for something lighter as a camping journal. Ordered the softcover one and hopefully that will be perfect.FYIIf you need to return a product you have to deal with Leuchtturm and pay for the return shipping.

PositivesThe 120 gsm paper is really nice to use with fountain pens. It shows great shading and almost zero ghosting. It has a nice texture with a bit of feedback (though some pages feel more slippery than others) and a bit of feathering on some inks, but nothing terrible. It's a major upgrade from the regular Leuchtturm paper for sure, though some may find the paper too thick and stiffNegativesEvery 4th page set is stuck together and has to be pulled apart (image added in this review). The journal does not lay completely flat when opened, though bend the book back and stretching the spine can help with that. As mentioned above, there is some feathering.
