I used this dimmer with 8 "Toggled 48 in. 16-Watt Daylight T8 Dimmable Linear LED Tube Light Bulbs" because it is the recommended dimmer by the LED bulb manufacture (Toggled). The dimming function is smooth and linear with no buzzing. Measuring with a light meter, dimming range is 100% to 7%. Requires a neutral wire. The product is 5 stars but factor is the exorbitant price for a non-smart switch/dimmer, it's 4 stars at best.

This is a reverse phase dimmer, you must have a reverse phase capable led driver. or it will damage the switch and maybe the driver. The loud humming you hear with other dimmers is because the forward phase method makes noise especially if you are at the upper limits of your driver, example using 90 watts on a 100 watt driver. Items like pot lights, and light bulbs it's harder to check the phases they are capable of, but light fixtures and led tape lights you can do the research. I would always recommend getting the elv dimmer in combination with a reverse phase drivers also 24 volts drive and leds light intensity drops less over the line.

This electronic low voltage dimmer works perfectly as expected of Lutron dimmers of all types. Easy to install with none of the hum or flickering affecting lower cost dimmers. Note, this dimmer requires a neutral.

I had bought a 150w one and didn't take in account that I had 5x 50w led lights linked together. That one hummed when in the dim position. And did not allow the lights to go the brightest they could.THIS ONE, I bought to replace it. It was a bit bigger so it made it a tighter fit in the box, but all lights work great at the brightest setting and the humming is completely gone in all dim positions.Highly recommend.

Most useless dimmer. Lacks button to make sure lights don't flicker. Spot where button should be is there but there's no button.

This dimmer is well made, easy to install, changes the brightness of LEDs very well, no light flickering at any brightness level and most importantly it is totally silent and doesn't cause any noise in the LED control boxes (unlike the cheaper version that you get at a hardware store). I will only buy ELV dimmers from now on. Totally worth the money. Also, the dimmer lights up orange when turned off.

I recently developed my basement and ran into an issue with hum from some of my LED-based wall sconces. I swapped the standard LED compatible Lutron dimmer to this unit, and as promised, the hum is gone. This unit was no more complex to install than the other dimmers, so the only downside for me was the cost; that said, changing the dimmer was cheaper and easier than changing all the wall light fixtures.

I have research a long time what type of dimmer would work with our 120V LED vanity light fixture. There are many different models with a very wide price range which may not work with led lights. This one works very well with no humming. It needs a neutral wire. The switch has a light glow. It requires a deep box to fit all the connectors.

I just purchased my 10th dimmer for the house, for the last fixture to be made dimmable. The first batch was installed in 2012, then a few more in 2015. All of them are still working and going strong.I have Elco and Halo ELV track lighting in my house. There is no buzzing. Dimming is perfect, smooth, linear. And they dim incredibly low. I use halogen bulbs throughout the house because I love the color temperature, especially at low light levels and I have yet to find an LED bulb to match this performance, especially the low level these dimmers can reach.I've tried to replace with LEDs on several occasions. Yeah, a few have flickered but many have not. It's not the fault of the dimmer or the bulb. These are complex electrical systems and some combinations work better than others. For me, the biggest issue with most LED bulbs is they don't go low enough. There are some integrated systems that do, but I'm not ready to replace my entire lighting system yet.I also love the locator light on these dimmers -- in the dark, your guests can always find the light switch because of the faint amber glow these emit. As some reviewers have mentioned, the locator light can cause problems with some LED bulbs, so you may want to choose the dimmer model without the locator light.

This dimmer is the greatest. I had installed 8 six inch LED recessed lights in my kitchen and used the dimmer the manufacturer recommended. To my horror, they all hummed at any dim level. My family could not live with the humming. I was dreading the fact that I might possibly have to replace them all with another type of lights. I did a bunch of internet research and learned about ELV dimmers. They are not cheap, but this one was one of the least expensive that appeared to be of good quality. I found this dimmer and bought it--my last hope! I was not disappointed. Amazon Prime ordered in the morning and had it in hand that evening! I did have to pull a new neutral white wire for it, since there was none in the box, but I got lucky and there was one a short distance away I could tap. Drumroll. I throw the switch. SILENCE! Ahhhh. This device saved me!! If humming LEDs is your problem, you have found your solution. Also, it doesn't say so in the doc, but this dimmer is lighted. It has a soft orange glow when it is turned off. You can see it in a dark room. It is handy. Cannor recommend this device highly enough!

After buying the best 'dimmable LED switch' from Home Depot I was experiencing a buzzing sound which was too much to ignore. So I did a lot of research and came across this dimmer. I installed two of these each with six LED lights connected. They work great and dim well. No buzzing or humming noise.
