An XLR to RCA cable converts a balanced audio signal into an unbalanced signal. This is good for sending audio signals from an XLR source to an RCA input or vice versa. Regardless of direction the result will be an unbalanced signal. This is a premium quality cable with gold plated connectors at each end. The cable is made with two 16 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors in a twisted-pair arrangement and is shielded along the full length with copper braid with 97. 5% coverage. This cable uses the standard pinout with pins 1 and 3 of the XLR connector wired to the shield of the RCA plug and pin 2 of the XLR connector wired to the tip of the RCA plug.

hard to say how these are without something else to compare them to but they look top notch -- physical quality seems highwould love to be able to compare sound but dont have equivalentoverall my rig sounds good though so I am sticking wiht them

Excellent cables. Sound quality is fantastic. Clear highs, open midrange and bass quality is good. Replaced my straightwire chorus cables with the monoprice cables, and the straightwire cables are 10 times the price. Highly recommended cables.

I've had these cables going on a month now and so far they are very good cables. The 16AWG of the cables are thick and sturdy, and the connectors on both ends (XLR & RCA) are very well made and fit very snugly on each of their respective inputs.I had previously purchased the Dual Pyle PPRC-X05 Cables pictured below. There is NO comparison between the Monoprice XLR to RCA cables and the Pyle cables. The Monoprice cables are far superior.One added, important and unexpected benefit. I'm using these cables with a Denon DN MC6000 MK2 Mixer. Prior to using these cables, I was getting an annoying hum from one of the mixer channels. As soon as I connected these cables, the hum was gone.I recommend these cables to anyone looking for affordable and effective cables.
