I bought the engine coolant thermostat and radiator from Amazon at a way cheaper price than Autozone or O'reilly's. I am glad I bought it, because when I took off the old part, it was really worn down and it was going to need to be replaced sooner than later. So again, I am glad I replaced it along with the radiator!

Great 2-piece part, much better than original OEM plastic. Installed easily, no leaks. I think the key to no leaks is to not tighten the 2 mount bolts too much. There is no gasket, its an O-ring seal. You will loose about 1/2 gallon antifreeze for this install, runs out of the engine side when the housing is removed. After reading of others having thermostat troubles, I went ahead and purchased a separate thermostat. Every place I checked, the thermostat for my 2006 Aveo is listed as 90c/195f temperature, and thats what I purchased and installed. The thermostat that came with the new housing is stamped as 87c. I ripped apart the old plastic housing to get to the thermostat and it has 87c stamped on it. Confused as to why 90c are being sold as replacement. Probably should have just installed what came with the new housing. All is running well, no temperature related problems with the 90c thermostat.Highly recommend this product.
