I actually bought this to hold bags of scooped kitty litter and it works well for this. I wanted to be able to get the cat box waste out of my house without having to walk all the way out to my alley trash can every time. It's a bit on the small side but it's sturdy and holds a decent amount. I have a dog too but I have a pick up service for her waste. However, I can see that this would also work well to hold dog poop, especially for a small one. The internal bag feature is pretty handy although the bags are difficult to tear off and I end up having to handle it quite a bit.

This steel waste can is PERFECT ! Well designed. Love the well fitted inner plastic liner. The trash bags easily pull up through the liner. Got pets? Use outdoors with a pooper scooper waste receptacle.

I wanted to love this. Who wants to touch dog poop. I pulled the first bag through the hole at the bottom of the can liner, and it ripped. I took that one off and pulled another one, a little more gently and it tried to rip again. I got it out but when I tried to put it over the top of the can liner, it wouldn’t stretch over the edges without tearing. I thought I had enough over and when I dumped the scoop of poop in the can, the bag fell inside with the poop. Yuck! I will be buying larger bags and hopefully I can get this to work right.

The bags supplied with the can are very difficult to separate. I bought different bags and it works perfectly. Great can for disposal of dog waste. We live in Florida and it helps with the odor !!

It's perfect for my yard and holds all my dogs poo until i throw it out. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the bags rip if you pull them through the little hole in the bottom of the inside container. Which is kind of dumb. Why even put it there!! Anyway, once the green bags are gone i will probably just use regular trash or kitchen bags.
