Beautifully done again guys. I have had incredible luck with this to begin.

Nice soil, very loamy, not hydrophobic at all. Using it in my herb garden and all the seeds I've planted have germinated! So, so far so good!

I used this mix to start tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, bitter lemon, bergamot, basil, parsley, dill, marigolds and nasturtiums. Excellent results. All the plants turned out healthy and are going into the garden with a good head-start.The first to bags were perfect. The third had some lumps. Still ordered number four for a few extra plants.

Finding a seed starting mix with worm castings is AMAZING! My seeds sprouted 2-3 days earlier than expected and look so healthy! Very rich and dark soil that smells just like earth should. I will be buying this mix next year as well!

Loved working with this soil for starting seedlings. Grown in natural sunlight indoors, not sure how it does under artificial lighting. Worth the money! All seedlings grew in 1-3 weeks. No stuck roots during transplanting & lifted up/out from the soil with ease. Hardening plants should be easy as it is very similar to the soil in Ontario/Canada. Recommend!

This is hands down the worse seed starting mix I have ever used (and I have used many). Not only is it too expensive, but it's hydrophobic, and full of all kinds of weed seeds. I absolutely DO NOT recommend it. I used it to start some onion seeds and there are so many weeds coming up! The other mix I used with the same seeds does not have this issue, so its definitely the mix and not the seeds. Water just runs off the top without being absorbed into the soil, even when the soil below the surface is damp. Also not an issue I have with the other mix.Buyer beware! Especially if you are just starting out, this product will lead to nothing but frustration. I don't usually leave reviews, but this stuff is awful and I hope I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake!

I bought this because the Promix was sold out. It's a bit heavy for seed starting, with a clay like, clumpy texture. I added a lot of extra perlite to try to lighten it up, and I'm still worried that my seedlings' roots will struggle.I'm also dubious about the fact that it contains worm castings. The main benefit of worm castings is the helpful bacteria, but ideally a seed starting mix should be sterile, since wee baby plants (especially grown indoors) are susceptible to rot.I would choose the Promix 10 times out of 10 if it's available.

My seedlings are thriving in this soil, but it does contain some weed seeds (maybe came from the worm castings?). It also compacts and stays sticky when wet, but not to the point of being detrimental to the seedlings. Seems to have lots of nutrition - haven't had to feed the seedlings yet and it has been 2 months since I started them in this soil mix.I will likely continue to buy this brand (as well as others) so I can support a small Canadian business
