Amazing smart switch. I am using it as a dead switch meaning it’s not controlling anything other than sending a signal to my home assistant which will close all lights in the room.If you are going to use it as a dead switch like me, buy the non-dimmer version as there’s a delay with the dimmer version when you turn off as it will slowly dim out the light.

When you buy this it is nowhere clear that you can only use it with Sinope's own extremely expensive zigbee hub. It won't even pair with an eero. So you end up having to have yet another hub for light switches.... Zigbee is an open standard and locking down the hub is both unethical and harmful to the adoption of zigbee in general.In addition the switch is really basic feature wise. You are better off buying pretty much any other zigbee switch or dimmer.

Easy to install and works very well with LED. Make sure yo have a compatible zigbee gateway.

This company's products including the controller app are great. I have a thermostat, lighting, and the hub. I had an issue with one installation and product support was on the phone. Even the packaging is impressive. I don't use Alexa or anything like it so no comment there. Be careful not to confuse the switches. One is a dimmer and one can handle a higher load but doesn't dim. The dimmer one can be a three way installation. I don't have the other one. It is robust enough to control a heater or coffee maker outlet I suppose. The app is pretty intuitive. Our baseboard heater is doing a dance around the time of use electricity rates as well as our own schedules in the room. The dimmers get programmed for on and off and various levels of light as well. You can control the lighting like a regular switch too. It doesn't mess with your programme which can only be done with the app. The company has other innovative products I don't need such as a water valve to gave installed to control water in your house and shut it down if a leak is detected. I don't have that one so don't rely on this for accuracy. So...im a fan. I also appreciate that the company is in Canada which motivated me to write such a long review.

A good looking product that is a bit pricy, but is decent value. Works fairly well if you know what you're doing, but the instructions are somewhat lacking for someone who is not experienced in IoT devices and zigbee protocol. Just needs better instructions and links on their website. I'm glad at least one switch in my house was made in Canada.

Five star because it works as it should and the finished quality is very good. The portion inside the gang box is smaller compared to the GE, Inovelli and Leviton zwave ones that I also have installed. This uses the zigbee protocol and there are not many to choose from at the price point. Inclusion and exclusion is one of the more intuitive that I have experienced.
