What a waste!! I bought this Lens Cap for my Sony a6400 mirrorless camera and clearly doesn’t fit... $18 I paid for this and it’s in no use. Whoever sells something like this should put down which cameras this cap is good for because clearly it doesn’t fit on my Sony camera. I’m really not happy!!

Doesn’t fit the Sony Alpha (a7r III) they way the product title suggests. I now have a useless $20 body cap.

If it says Sony shouldn’t it fits Sony? 20 bucks for a piece of glass if that doesn’t fit I’m sure glad I have to send it back

It's nothing more than what it looks like: a body cap for Sony Alpha DSLRs/DSLTs. It does the job it was designed to do and does it well. It has the same feel as the original one that comes in the box maybe because it is the same thing. This is also extremely cheap and it's very helpful to have another one of these when you're out of your normal photo shooting circumstances, such as traveling on a vacation, helping shoot wedding photos, etc. Just when you think you have it all, you'll run into a situation where you'll need one of these bad boys. So go ahead, get yourself one and keep it in your camera bag so that the next time you leave your cap at home, break it, lose it, or do anything that'll keep you from using the original. You'll thank yourself for the foresight.

There isn't too much to say about this item.This is Sony's official body cap for their Alpha DSLRs. This cap will cover and protect the mount and mirror box of your camera when there is no lens attached. It also fits all Minolta camera's with the Minolta AF mount.It's made of plastic. It comes with a nice Alpha logo sticker to be placed on the cap's center.I haven't tried other caps made by other brands, but this one does its job. Personally I'd prefer if this was made of some metal so it would last longer. The one that came originally with my A700 has visible wear and tear on the edges that lock this cap on the mount. I can't be certain nor do I have any evidence to support my claim, but I'm worried that this tearing will eventually drop plastic bits in the mirror box that may end up on the sensor.The other problem with this item is that it's price varies wildly, I've seen it for 1 buck and up to 40 dollars, which is a silly price for a simple piece of plastic.Besides that, it's something all Alpha owner should have. You never know when you'll need to cover the mount and mirror box with something that's not a lens, like when cleaning the body.
