Others have mentioned shipping damage. This item arrived to me double-boxed. The outer box was completely free of damage. The inner box, which is the original packaging, has considerable damage. The only damage I could see to the core was the igniter being pushed in.I was able to pull the igniter core back into place. It had no trouble lighting the burner. In the worst case, I still have the old core and its igniter will probably work. The unit is a very tight fit into the old shell. It needs to be tight, else the air flow through it does not work right. It took a bit of wiggling, but I made it work. The wire connections are clearly explained in the manual and also on a sticker on the core. It is very odd to use yellow as the ground wire.It is about as loud as the old core. The fan blades are plastic now instead of metal. The new unit vibrates a bit less than the old. It blows air about the same.

I bought a Suburban RP-16NQ 16000 BTU/h RV Replacement Core. Item was received in damaged condition - fan blades were broken and component frame was bent. it was shipped in a box that had noticeable external damage. I ordered a new one and got it right away and it was properly packaged with an outside box that further protected the item. I returned the damaged item on 0CT 7th and it is still showing as in transit as of 10 DEC 24. I have the receipt for the returned item from UPS. Please let me know why there is a delay in acknowledging the return.
