In addition to the USA MADE, COAST GUARD APPROVED S.O.S BRAND WATER POUCHES (5-year shelf life from manufacturer date) we include a FRONTIER STRAW FILTER that will allow you to use any water source, filters up to 30 GALLONS.
  • Food- The SOS brand food rations, USA made, Coast Guard approved, and have a 5-year shelf life. Included in this emergency go bag are space-efficient, supply 1200 calories per person per day, require no rehydration, no reheating, and were developed with a low sodium content as to not induce unnecessary thirst. Other options, such as freeze-dried food pouches, call for up to 8 cups water to rehydrate 72-hours’ worth of food and typically only supply 500-600 calories per person per day.
  • Emergency Guidebook- not only does this kit have the tools and supplies you need to survive a disaster, but also included is our Emergency Preparedness Guidebook that will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to as well. In it you will find crucial survival information from how to create an emergency plan, to administering life-saving first aid, to what to do during an earthquake, hurricane, nuclear disaster, pandemic, and more.

The SOS brand food and water carries a 5-year shelf life from date of manufacture. Chlor Floc carries a 3-year shelf life from date of manufacture. Other items like the light sticks, first aid kit, and batteries will be less effective over time, so we recommend replacing them at the same time as the food and water.

Great starter bug out it! Definitely has everything you need to survive for 72 hours. My only complaint is I wish the flashlight and radio was a bit better quality. And a bigger first aid kit would be nice. Other than that, it’s a great kit. I plan on building on to it with additional items in the near future.

Nice compact grab bag. Would like to have seen a crank battery powered radio for am/fm/weather/usb cell phone port in the pack, however for the cost its well packed for a quick grab bag.

Normal Looking Bags, which is good. I wouldn’t want to be too obvious. Delivery was soooo fast Ordered on Friday and got it on Sunday. Nicely packaged. Comes with Instructions and helpful Tips. Been wanting to purchase this for a long time but wasn’t sure. Worth the price. Planning to make another purchase.Thank You!

Obviously everyone’s bug out bag is going to be different depending on their family and locale/plan, but this is a fantastic base. I added about $80 worth of items to make it specific to my family (for us, baby wipes >> toilet paper) and I now have bug out bags for my entire family plus the dog for a little over $200 total. Can’t beat that!Their included guide is also very good; it was a thoughtful, quick read and has some very sensible advice.

We got these bag for earthquake and/or fire, yes if you live in California, you better prepared! Anyway, overall the 4 person family set is good for anyone want to start for preparation, it has lots of empty space—- you can put your personal items in. Like I said it’s a very BASIC one, and it’s for 72 hrs, so don’t expect you will have everything there. And thanks to the fast delivery !
