Seems durable but did not work but my intended purchase. Have a TV that does not have an fibre optical output nor bluetooth connectivity but all modern day sound bars only have those two option for connection. Thought this cord was the answer, once plugged into the tv audio output and fibre optic into the sound bar, showed a green light on the sound bar to indicate it was connected but no sound would come out. Tv was switched to external speaker setting and when I increase/decrease the volume a picture also showed it was using the audio output but no sound.

My surround soundbar takes HDMI-eARC, HDMI or optical inputs. The soundbar is connected to the TV via the eARC port while the other HDMI ports on the TV all have devices connected. I thought of having the optical connection between the TV and the soundbar as a backup in case I required the eARC port for some other device with HDMI output. Hence the purchase of the cable.The cable appears to be of a very sturdy build, connects very easily on both ends and gives a very decent sound output from the TV to the soundbar. I like it and would recommend its purchase for anyone requiring a Toslink optical cable.

Used this to connect a Mac laptop to my DAC. Works fine and sounds great. Don't be fooled by expensive audiophile Toslink cables. Please note that after 2015, Apple stopped incorporating the Toslink connection in their headphone jacks.

I keep having to replace this cord due to my cat chewing it up. Finally decided to search for a stronger and more durable type and found this one. My cat shows no interest in wanting to chew it, I'm sure because it's a thick and braided cord. A win win!

I am using this to output audio (SPDIF) from a laptop to the optical in on a Sony ES preamp. Connectors lock in snugly and gook to be of good quality, Cable itself is flexible and should hold up well. Transmission of data stream is good with no added noise or dropouts. I have not tested bit rate yet but it does 44.1 @ 24bit quite well. This is a long run (16') for the application but there are no issues. First impression is WOW.... at the speed of light! I do recommend this cable for audio uses similar to the above.
