Ich habe die Schleifhilfe jetzt 1 mal benutzt und ich muss sagen sie funktioniert wirklich sehr gut. Durch die breite Laufrolle steht sie beim arbeiten sehr sicher und kippelt nicht. Wie die Haltbarkeit und Robustheit ist kann ich jetzt noch nicht beurteilen aber sie macht grundsätzlich einen stabilen Eindruck.

Per chi si cimenta con gli scalpelli da legno non può farne a meno ,non ha il costo della nota marca ma garantisco che funziona veramente bene salvo le dovute accortezze ,consigliatissima.

I started with one of the $20 guides and it would not hold chisels straight so i upgraded to this one and was not impressed either. The jaws that hold the too put pressure on the sides and one side of the chisel lifts slightly giving you a crooked bevel. I attached a photo of a chisel where you can see this flaw in the micro bevel i put on with this jig. I expected more from Trend as i thought they were a reputable brand but this jig says otherwise. You might as well make your own jig or just practice until you can sharpen by hand.

if your goal is to turn all your chisels into skew chisels then this is the guide for you. the narrower the chisel the more noticeable the skew. i would not recommend this product

This unit works better than the $30 units that have the narrow wheel. This unit holds the chisels more securely than the Veritas. That said there is still room for improvement, the steps on the associated gauge need to be a little taller to make setting the angle a less fiddley.

Ended up returning it because it was not holding chisels tightly. They would slip out of the jaws.

Very good for sharpening plane blade or chisel. Not useful it your blade doesn't have parallel edges.
