I bought this with my own money and am not affiliated with the seller in any way. I used it to replace a leaking/cracked/split Dorman 902-319. The Dorman had a slow leak and then split apart worse when I went to pressure test the system. I don’t see where the plastic Dorman one or any other plastic one would be any better than the design failure of the original OEM one. This is definitely the way to go. The seals that come in the kit are a cheap silicone feeling version, but I lubed up everything with a little grease and everything fit and sealed just fine. Has been a couple weeks now. The thermostat fit properly and the housing bolted to the engine with no fitment issues at all. I will say to take your time with a 1/4 ratchet and snug the 3 bolts down slowly and evenly, a little at a time. It takes a lot (of distance, not force) to compress the seals until the aluminum housing is against the engine snug. Just take your time and don’t get it in a bind. This was on a 2013 Chrysler 200 convertible 4 cylinder.Temp sensor was verified to be working correctly. All 4 hose sizes were correct for this car. (I saw that mentioned in other reviews that they were “wrong”. I assume Chrysler changed things on certain cars or years.Only way to possibly improve it might be to get better felpro or oem style rubber seals, but these ones are sealing ok, they just don’t feel and appear as confidence inspiring. If you wanted The best and most confident inspiring repair that you could do, I would say use this casting, But maybe buy name brand or OEM seals, o ring, and thermostat. If the temp sensor interchanged with an OEM one, It would be more confidence inspiring than a no-name aftermarket one as well. Since I was replacing a aftermarket housing, I do not know what the OEM temperature sensor looks like or if is swappable with this one. But the plug-in was the same as my vehicle harness. But for the money, zero complaints. I’d buy again and recommend to anyone.

Working on a 2008 Chrysler Sebring w/ 2.4l 4 cyl. and was changing the thermostats. So I went with this aluminum housing over the the plastic factory one. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality, price only a little higher than the plastic, & no leakage. Thank You

If you are looking to replace your thermostat housing assembly, then this is the right choice. The metal construction will provide many years of use. My only regret is that I didn't purchase this the first time I replaced my housing. The last replacement "plastic one" broke after a few months. So thumbs up on this product.

Put on 2013 Chrysler 200 has a 2.4l factory housing is made of plastic, it melts after a year or so. I've been looking for a replacement for quite some time now. This one is aluminum and fits perfectly. I'm giving 4 stars simply because I just installed it. Took it on about 5 mile ride and works good.
