When the clippers work at speed, they do the job, however after only 3 uses on my Aussiedoodle (43 lbs) with mostly straight fur, the batteries cannot sustain a speed and fluctuates (fast then slower). This power fluctuation was apparent from the first trim, but has become much worse and it now fluctuates every couple of seconds. Wahl is a good brand, but this issue makes this clipper almost useless. It takes more than twice the time to clip as we have to go over our pup several times to ensure a relatively even trim. Am seriously regretting our decision to go cordless. The old corded clipper (Oster) we have had for over 30 years still works, but unfortunately not well enough to do the job on our new pup. We are now past the time to return the item and so are out the money. I believe It’s a waste of money to buy cordless as the technology is simply not good enough yet to provide a consistent speed.

Nice looking and easy to use but the battery just didn’t last. The charger didn’t seem like it worked properly. This should have been returned. Would not buy this again.

This is so powerful works amazing.I bought for my cat I decided to spent the money as the other 3 clippers I have are almost useless for my cats matts.I just tuned this on her and it literally took me 3 minutes to do half of her it was so quick and easy , she didn't even try to kill me until the 3 minute mark lol the other half tomorrow and make it look prettier . If you have an animal that needs grooming no matter the state of fur this is the golden ticket

This is the second one--retired my 15 year old one as the battery was starting to fail a little. Use regularly on my toy poodles about every three weeks to keep them tidy especially feet and face --I really like the lever at the back to adjust the closeness of the clip. Excellent product.

I'm a self taught groomer of 2 mini poodles because of COVID, one with very thick dense hair and the other is really fine and curly. I previously had a Wahl Bravia that worked really really well until I dropped it a few times and it started to catch my dogs' fur when shaving. I decided that I needed separate clippers and trimmer since one of my poodles has such thick hair. This clipper definitely is more like a trimmer because it struggles to go through thick hair (I got the Andis Pro 2 for that but haven't tried it yet) but it works really well on the face, paws and sanitary regions. The blade system is really easy to use and I like that it comes with 2 batteries so I can do both my poodles back to back. The base, case and cleaning tools are also very handy to keep everything neat and tidy when not in use.

I was hesitant at first to pay this much for a clipper, so i went with a different brand (no name?) at 1/4 the price of this WAHL clipper. It was immediately clear that the cheap clipper was a waste of money. So i ordered the Wahl Arco and gave it a try today. It cuts the mats off from my cat fairly easily, even though this will be probably be a process for several weeks in 5-minute sessions. Cat obviously didn't like what was going on and fought back, as it's her first time getting groomed. But that has nothing to do with the quality of this clipper. I still can't believe I paid 4 times as much as for the crappy one, but i have to admit it does the job! It was money well spent.I like the design of the removable battery as well and the charger is intelligent which other models don't always have (not even some expensive ones!).

I was initially worried that these clippers would not work for removing the knots from my fur baby. Turns out they work great. Some matted fur was tricky as it was close to the skin. I did not want to cut my cat with the clippers. So, I watched some YouTube videos, and it helped me better understand how to conquer the bad knots. Shaved my other cat (with no knots) into a lioness with no issues. No overheating (I took frequent breaks to give the cats resting periods), long battery life, generally lightweight (if you have not had a recent wrist injury) quality blade and design. Thanks WAHL.
