Stay out of the MUD, and you won't need a new one so often!

Before removing the old impeller from its housing take note how the tips of the rubber flippers are leaning inside their housing. If you orient the new ones wrong they will instantly be damaged when you start your boat as the impeller only spins in one direction. Basically, the shaft that the impeller spins on only goes in one direction and improper flipper orientation will force them to flip and lean in the right direction when the motor turns on, which will damage and crack many, if not all the flippers.and don't forget to add that marine grease in that housing before you put the impeller in it.

No complaints, it took about an hour to remove the bottom of the leg, and install the new impeller. There is a couple very good online tutorials if you've never performed this repair before. Make sure, you do not lose the small metal wedge that locks the factory impeller on, as it is required to complete the repair. Also make sure you have some sort of marine or rubber safe synthetic grease on hand before you start disassembly, and apply it liberally when you are completing the swap.

Careful. Your motor may need 1” high impeller and you will get 1cm high.
