Black Soldier Fly Frass Improves Resilience to Pests and Diseases
Over thousands of years of evolution between plants and insects, the presence of chitin from sources like black soldier fly larvae stimulates plants to build up their defences to become stronger and more resistant to pests, pathogens, and diseases.
Black soldier fly frass increases desirable plant compounds like flavonoids, terpenes, and resins. This means abundant flowers, more flavourful vegetables, and more aromatic herbs.
Black soldier flies are incredibly sustainable and beneficial in nature, being used to quickly and efficiently compost food waste, create sustainable protein sources for animals, and create outstanding compost for gardeners.

Worm castings have a high percentage of organic matter to attract and maintain a healthy and diverse ecosystem with a wide range of beneficial microorganisms
Worm castings provide essential plant nutrients including nitrogen and iron leading to ideal conditions for healthy, thriving plants.
According to a study by Ohio State University Soil Ecology Lab, worm castings can enhance seed germination, improve plant growth, promote flowering/fruit production, and curb certain plant diseases including root rot, crown rot, and wilts.
Worms are incredible composters and their castings add a rich, earthy smell to your garden.

Suggested Usage for Worm Castings Plus
Fertilizer/Feed Potted Plants
Each 8L bag can feed and provide a nutrient boost for up to 32 potted plants with 1/4 cup or 4 tbsp Worm Castings Plus per plant.
Top Dress Outdoor Gardens
With 1/4" or 0.6cm coverage, each bag can top dress and feed 13.5 sq ft or 1.26 sq m of vegetables, flowers, herbs, lawns, and gardens.
Custom Soil Amendment
Create a custom soil amendment with your favourite ingredients such as our YUF biochar, dolomite, and kelp meal (amendments sold separately).
Rich Potting Soil Mix
Make a homemade potting mix with 30L or 1cu ft each of peat and perlite (sold separately) for indoor plants and seed starting.

I was using this to make a compost tea for my plants, and as an soil additive, it's really good. I love the added soldier fly frass addition too, that helps your plant utilize phosphorus better. I also love that this is a local company too. As good as this stuff is, i've switched to bokashi bran instead of worm castings to make microbe teas. For my setup, it's easier to use and store.

My plants love these castings ,and they are a pretty good value. I just top dress every 2 weeks and the plants are growing big time!

This was way more moist then I have been used to using in the past. I thought it was a great deal at 8l but I feel it should have been half as moist and twice the volume. Back to Gaia green after this one
