When you receive 2QT of carnivorous plant soil mix from Yilotuce, it may seem like very little.

To obtain 2QT of Yilotuce's carnivorous plant soil mix product, approximately 3.5 ounce of dried and fluffy sphagnum moss debris will be used compressed into the product package.
Individually wrapped, you can define your own usage amount
Sphagnum moss crumbs compressed flakes are individually wrapped with perlite bags for easier use.

First Step
The first step is to unpack the outer packaging and remove the compressed sphagnum moss flakes and individually wrapped perlite. Soak the compressed sphagnum moss flakes in water to allow the sphagnum moss crumbs to fully soak and expand, a process that takes about 5 minutes.
Second Step
In the second step, after the sphagnum moss chips have fully absorbed the water and swelled up, put in the perlite, mix them well, squeeze out the excess water, and then you can use them to pot up carnivorous plants.

This package arrived quickly. The package had easy to follow instructions. Half a package was enough for a medium sized pot, and I have more left over for another plant. The moss material has an earthy smell, but it doesn't bother me. Looking forward to seeing my plant thrive!

Shipping was fast, however, after only 3 days it's slimy and full of mold. I used distilled water. It's going to the trash. I was hoping to propagate my venus fly trap, glad for that, much better then if I had transplanted my healthy plant into this moldy mess.

Komplett begeistert! Vorher sind mir alle fleischfressenden Pflanzen immer eingegangen. Seit ich die Spezialerde nutze, explodieren sie förmlich. Wachsen in einem riesigen Tempo und bilden sogar schon Ableger.Hilfreich wäre allerdings, eine etwas genauere Angabe zum Mischverhältnis von Erde und Wasser, da es ja gepresst und getrocknet verschickt wird.

Definitely love this for all my carnivorous plants ! So much came in the package it did one of my bells and one of my Venus fly traps, and I have enough for two more. The plants seem to thrive in it! The odd weed pops up but it's so easy just to pluck it idk why people complain about it. It's so much cheaper then getting the peatmoss and the right perlite and mixing your own

I purchased the potting mix for my Venus Fly Traps and couldn't be happier. Initially, I had no idea what two quarts looked like, but I was pleased to see the product expands a lot when wet. Two quarts were plenty to repot my three small Venus Fly Traps, and I still have some mix left. The packaging includes a pouch of perlite, making the mix light, airy, and excellent at retaining moisture. My Venus Fly Traps are thriving and much happier in their new, larger pots. Highly recommend this potting mix!

This dried soil expands A LOT once wet, therefore good value for price. It also comes with the little white rocks to mix in. One third of the brick fit a medium sized pot for my Venus fly trap
