I was looking for a medium that would provide improvement of moisture retention for my plants soil when I came across the 10QT Horticultural Organic Vermiculite. One of the elements I loved the most was its fine grade (2-4mm) which perfectly suits both the starting the seeds and also for mixing potting soil.It provides just the right balance of drainage and moisture retention that is needed by my plants. The organic nature of the product satisfies my preference for eco-friendly gardening practices, it suits the needs for my plants to grow healthy and strong for the upcoming planting season.I am happy with this product; I would recommend it for anyone who would like to improve their gardening setup and to provide a healthy start to their plants.

You get quite a lot though the price is a little steep,Seems so far to be good enough quality, I am preparing my own soil mix for my tropicals to be repotted in the spring and needed some vermiculite to create a more aerated mix. I have a tendency to make soil mix to compact which doesn't allow for proper drainage, having this to add is perfect for my intended use.Not sure why it came in such a giant box? Was well packaged with no damage or holes so that's great.

Perlite is a lightweight volcanic rock that helps soil aeration and drainage. It's easy to mix with soil but wear gloves to avoid getting the dust onto the hands. Great for indoor plants. Will be adding these to my potted plants to give it a nice appealing look and helps aerate them.
