This is my second power carver, from the same company. For the price, they are pretty good. The top speed that's been around 16,000 rpms. The power covers aren't terribly fast. However, they do seem to have some good torque. If you are needing a much higher RPMs for engraving metal on guns, then you'll need to shop around for a different machine. Recommend for wood and soft stone.

Useable. Need upgrades. Foot speed control cheap plastic, poor ergonomic design. Advertised as 500rpm to 30000. Enclosed documentation recommends not useable over 10000rpm.If properly designed and manufactured it would be a wonderful unit. Even if priced at $225.

Motor works great but the pedal is defective. Cannot insert plug into pedal socket. It is as if there is no copper connection. Hopefully someone from the company will contact me and fix the issue.

This is my first exclusive rotary shaft tool and to be honest, I regret not buying this years ago.The pedal is very smooth, albeit light weight plastic, so you may want to mount it on a small board to keep it in place. The kit comes with an extra cable which will no doubt be very helpful and the motor is quite heavy for it's size. The quality appears to be very good and there is certainly no shortage of power. I made a custom rack to hang it from and also keep the shaft out of the way and I couldn't be happier.I love having an actual drill style chuck as this will allow so many more tools to be utilized, not just Dremel style bits.I would recommend this product and have no doubt you've be very happy with your purchase, just as I am.I

I like having the 3 jaw chuck as I have many cutters in different shank sizes. Can use dremel bits or bits with 1/4" shank. The motor runs smoothly and does not heat up much. This is more powerful than my dremel and does a great job.

I like it a lot so far! Well made with quality and heavy duty hardware. My only problem is that there is no company name, no email address or phone number. Absolutely no mention of any kind of warranty to be found anywhere. Where do I get parts if I should ever need some. It's a little bit scary since they included an extra internal coiled cable at no charge and two extra motor brushes. You think they know something. Now to the manufacturer of this product... You should hire someone who can actually read and write English before you print instructions that are so full of mistakes and wrong words that I will keep the paper and read it out loud at the next party. It will make me look like a comedian!! It's ridiculous!

I wanted to really love this device, but there are some issues. I quickly realized that the limited length of the flex shaft, really limits where you can hang it while working. I tried hanging it from ceiling rafter over workbench, but this limits how much reach you can get from the shaft. I ended up using a pipe clamp to clamp it to the workbench and a C clamp at the top to hang the motor from. Even with this the combination of the slippery hand grip and the rigid shaft couplings can make the motor swing around while using it.The geared chuck I actually prefer to the Dremel lock button/wrench combo, but because the handgrip is so slippery it takes a little while to get used to inserting the chuck key as the cylinder of the handgrip tends to rotate into the way of the opening for the key.The motor has plenty of power.Foot switch is annoying and has a cheap feel. Also the extension cord from the foot switch is not nearly long enough. With the motor hanging 3 feet off the bench, the cord barely reaches the foot switch. Why didn't they make this cord 3 feet longer? Despite this, I was able to get fairly good control of speed from the foot pedal. The including bits and accessories are disappointing. The cutting/routing bit is too small. The arbor for cutoff and cutting disks is useless and hard to use. The included sanding drums are super cheap and wore out after a minute of first use on wood. Wouldn't last more than seconds on metal. Stone bits are OK but I would have preferred one with a steeper angle. So the bottom line is that the motor and shaft are pretty sturdy, but the accessories are of poor quality.I ended up buying a separate kit with a wide selection of bits and this does the job.All of this being said, I would buy this again in preference to the Dremel+shaft equivalent because the motor is so much sturdier.

Brand new, complete kit. Works great so far.Had a very minor problem with manufacturing, and 2 messages clarifying problem and solved! The problem wasn't caused by the seller, but the seller stepped and fixed it for me. Great service. Replied either overnight or within an hour or 2.
