I have used these on a number of different projects. One thing to note is that the threads on the stationary part of the quick link are cut very shallow and are not very long. This is the weak part of the quick link. The failed link in the picture while working fine in a static load, failed when there was a small shock load. I replaced it with a 1/4” D ring shackle and have experienced no other issues. These links have weathered well in the outside with no signs of rust. I have experienced rust on other “304 stainless steel items” that were made in China. Overall I would purchase these again for nonshock applications.

They unscrew themselves when moved around a lot (e.g., used to hang something that swings around), even when tightened down firmly.

I use them for equipment key rings and keeping wrenches etc. together. These appear to be the nicest I've run across yet.
