I have owned this unit for over a year. I use it to mix concrete for counter tops (very fine aggregate) and to mix mortar and grout for tiles. It works great. The speed control and locking power button are great energy savers.

Mixed a bucket of self leveling concrete, so it works I guess. Will it work for long? Dunno. Is it worth it compared to a higher cost more reputable brand? Dunno.I needed it to mix a bucket of self leveling concrete and that's what it did. Incredibly minimal packaging or even details what company makes the product?Either way, probably less hassle than renting if you need to use it a few times but my expectations are low for long term use.

I needed to mix epoxy resin and on previous attempts found that using my drill and a big mixing paddle was too fast, too awkward and very tiring. This little unit mixed 4 gallons for 6 minutes at low speed, easily. You can tell that the higher speeds will be great for heavier mixes but for my purposes, the lowest was just low enough. Produced perfectly clear, perfectly mixed epoxy resin for my counter top. The head that comes with the unit is wide enough that you can stand the unit up on a flat surface to make moving from bucket to bucket that much easier. The two grip handle and button to lock it "on" meant I could sit down and mix with minimal effort compared to holding down the trigger on my much too fast drill as I stood over the bucket for the same length of time. It seems like a minor thing, but with the way you have to hold a drill, you wind up hovering over the bucket and since any water in the epoxy resin will lead to a cloudy finish, if it's warm while you're mixing, it's really great to be able sit back from the bucket while mixing and not worry that you're going to accidentally drop sweat into your mix.I don't know how durable a tool this will be in the long run, but for $100, it has helped me to finish my kitchen reno at less than half the cost of a similar tool at the big box hardware store. The right tool for the job at a price that I can swing at the moment is good enough for a 5 star rating in my opinion.I would love to know where to get the additional heads for the mixer that are listed in the instruction booklet, but so far haven't found them anywhere.

I’ve only used this mixer 4 times but it worked well so far. I’ve burnt out 2 drills previously as they were not designed for mixing. This mixer worked well and has a sturdy grip. I mixing a bucket of cement and a couple times buckets of “tile mortar and grout”. So far great value. 👍
