Easy to use, durable product used to help the hens when the rooster was persistent. The hens didn't seem to mind wearing the protection and feathers were able to grow back.

It worked for our needs, but the fit was off. It would slip off of my girl and so I finally snapped it "incorrectly" to get it more snug.She no longer needs it now, which is great.

These are defiantly super thick and the snaps are covered to ensure they stay on. My only complaint is that because they are such thick fabric when a hen shakes, they can get stuck standing up...which causes quite a bit of panic to the hen.Some of my girls are not comfortable it the thicker fabric so I only use 1 of them. Feels like it will really last up against my roos spurs.

WOW what a surprise these were when I opened them up, the quality was far above what I expected. I had to many roos enjoying the company of the hens, and these held right up, bonus they kept them from getting sun burn with summer coming on too. I'd say I'd buy them again but I don't think I'll need to because the quality is so good I can't see them wearing out. the material reminds me of Carhartt coveralls

This apron is the best so far I have tried. You can adjust it with sturdy snaps depending of the size of the chickens.Colorful and well finished. I sprayed them with a 3M water repelent.I recommend it.

We had never tried these on our hens before, so it is difficult to review, having never had any experience with these. I am not sure about the fit. Maybe I am overly concerned about the way it might rub on the wings/skin of the hens. It took two people to get the saddle on the young hen who was not used to it. We tried it on the one hen who needed it, and she panicked, but not for too long, then she seemed fine once she got more used to it. It was on the tightest setting but the next morning we found it on the ground in the chicken run. When the strap goes under the wing then up over the wing "shoulder" the strap has to twist because of the side the snaps are attached. It seems like they are put on backwards but I'm not sure if that is how they are always made. Seems like it should be made so that the straps lay flat. The shoulder cover goes in but is a little difficult, that is probably normal. The material is nice and sturdy, and the colors are nice and as shown. We will keep them around and try again. We realized the issue was not the rooster, so we are going to give the hen a break and put these to the side. Three stars because the snap seem to be installed backwards. If the roo gets to be too much for the hens it will be good to have these on hand.

a couple of our girls continue to have issues with the larger rooster. we bought these to try them and see what happened. the girls didnt really like them at all for the first 15 to 30 minutes but soon got used to them. The rooster still tried his thing but didnt like the feeling of the saddles and did not bother the girls that much any more. take them off for a couple of days at a time for the girls to dust bath but they are much happier now. would highly recommend if your rooster is too rough on some hens

Bought this for gingerbread as she appears to be the favourite for 2 roosters and her back ended up bald! So hoping now her feathers will come back now and wanted to keep her bald spot warm till the feathers do come back.It was difficult to first catch her. Then it took two of us to put it on her. She freaked out panicking the other hens for a few minutes but now she appears to be fine with it. I personally don’t like the term “saddle” so we just call it her coat. She wears it well.

Ok, ok! I know the title sounds dramatic. HOWEVER, my chicken was in a pretty brutal attack and her back got ripped open. We triaged her, got medicine on her, and then just prayed she would survive. To our surprise she made it through the night and was doing rather well. BUT.... if you know chickens you know they are tiny little velociraptors and they will peck a hurt chicken to death. I knew if I put her back in with the rest of the flock that while she survived the attack, she most likely wouldn't survive them. So, I ordered one of these chicken saddles that I had seen on a fellow YouTuber's chicken vlog. They showed up very quickly. I was able to slap this baby on her and she is good as new!! No pecking of her wounds and she is roaming freely with her little velociraptor friends! I will definitely buy again if we come up with any other back issues on our girls! They are well made and easy to strap on your chickens even if you're by yourself! Infinity stars!!
