Bought for Vevor 3/8 hose with .75 od. Bought straight fittings as well with the same dimensions. These were too small for the hose. ID of the fitting is not even close to allowing it to fit. Tried lube, easing it in and brute force, but the hole is too small for my hose.

These seem like a good value. The ferrule is quite small in diameter and would work best with a thinner hose like 100r1 or 100r17. They will not work with the cheap 100r2 hose I intended to use them with. I just wish the details section gave you this information.

Using a gates die this consumable hydraulic fitting worked perfectly for me. These fittings are far more cost effective to have on hand in the shop than the name bramd ones. when a hose blows and you need to make a fast repair to get the equipment going again, you need to have the right size hose and fittimgs on hand. The local hydraulic shop usually charges me about a hundred bucks a piece when i need replacements. Getting my shop set up with a hydraulic hose crimper, hose and fittings is runnings me about $1500 so far for a low cost crimper and a pack of each size fitting i have found on my equipment. These lower cost options will save me in the long run bit for now havingntjem on hand is saving me lots of time and frustration when something goes down on a remote jobsite. The time saced alone in work productivity is worth it to me. Keepimg a stock of many sozes available is critical and having a lower cost option is favorable to me. These seem to be the same quality I see the hydraulic shops in my area use.

I crimp these just like I do the more expensive brand. Same dies, same rings. No problems.

This JIC fitting crimped on just fine using Gates dies. It doesn't leak. It doesn't blow off when I use the chart in my book and a digital caliper to make sure the finished outer diameter is correct. These hydraulic fittings are less expensive than the Gates fittings. I guess that you could use Parker crimp dies or others as long as you make sure the crimp diameter is correct for the hose you are using.
