Put it together and cked with a square and it is square and flat. Angles are right on.

Let me say up front that this is one of three reviews I'm writing tonight on three very similar squares. I had a precision layout problem for mating cuts on some very visible joints on a large cabinet making project. Errors would have cost me enough in time and frustration to buy a half dozen such tools. The needed cuts were matching 22.5 degree miters on three pieces to edge shelves in an existing case. Setting up my saw for a perfect 22.5 deg. cut was easy, as was making the first cut on each piece. Locating the second cut on the center piece was a layout problem.The other squares I tried used a smooth steel pin in one of a series of six holes to set various angles. This Square has only 5 preset angles, but they are the most needed five and they are all permanently set, machined into the face of the tool. This was the lightest and least expensive square of the bunch and it was the one that I ended up using successfully for the task at hand.This was the smallest and lightest square of the bunch, and has a fairly narrow range of holes for parallel scribing, but I have many tools for that. This will be by go-to tool for lying out polygon cuts.

I had to send this product back because the two pieces do not screw into a true square. I checked it with an engineers square, and it failed the rest, and when I tried to mark all around a 2× 4 with it the last mark did not match the first mark at all.
