I used this to scrub 7 years of Orange glow wax on my hardwood floors. I did a great job removing the wax, without damaging the polyurethane. I would definitely recommend

3m pads are more expensive, but they definitely outperform the cheaper ones. I own a medium sized cleaning company, and I have used different scrubbing and stripping pads for 8 years. The cheap ones start falling apart soon after you start spinning, they just don't have the structural integrity needed in this application. The 3m pads are bonded together well, and will clean 3 to 4 times as much square footage as a cheaper alternative, an important consideration as I buy these by the case. I would definitely recommend spending a little more for this product.

I didn't want to do a full refinish on my 65-year-old oak floors and these pads allowed me to smooth the floors slightly and give them a good cleaning before applying new polyurethane. If your floors are in fair shape but just need a refresh, this is a good way to go.
