...my only real complaint was that they didn't come in 4 hole sizes. For whatever reason it looked like that in the picture. Short version is you get the knobs and a set of LONG adapters with BOTH (each end) of two sizes on 4 of these. Then you get a set of short adapters EACH for both sizes they send you for a total of 12 stems (4 long/both-sizes, 8 short/2-sizes). I needed the long stems and neither size hole fit. Fortunately, I was able to get to the shaft of the heater (not stove) that I wanted (although I did try them on my stove as a lark and still nothing "universal" about them--didn't fit) to put the knob on. I noticed it was the smaller of the sizes that almost fit but was a bit too small (hard to tell if you can't get to your shaft to take a good look). Took a 1/2 round mini file to the inside of this (fits beautifully withe flat part of the file on the flat of the D and the round on the 1/2 moon of the hole). Filed away lightly for a couple of seconds all around and no issues at all getting a custom, perfect fit. That being said, these are pretty "inexpensive" and you're likely going to need to modify them in some way to meet your needs; unlikely it's an easy fit.
