#8 x 3/4" 304 Stainless Steel Phillips Modified Truss Head Wood Screws -- wish threads were more course( larger pitch per axial distance ) for more holding power. Note # 2 phillips head screw bit is too large -- used smaller bit to screw in screws at slow speed so as not to strip screw head. None of screws broke when screwing through predrilled hardwood.

Love knowing they will not rust out and heads won't strip off when removing. Used them on boat dash panels and fit great!

I purchased these for an outdoors project and found the cross point depth in the screw to be somewhat shallow and that combined with a relative softness of the stainless ended with a fair number of round outs. Fortunately there was enough reverse edge left to back the screws out for replacement.I did use new #2 bits, pilot drilled and I have used stainless steel Screws before.Order more than you need just in case.These are still a good enough value to consider especially if being used in less dense material.
