The set is way small. I bought to make an extra hole in my belt. It did work but it took the largest one and even then the hole just barely big enough.

I use these punches for heavy paper and leather when I need to add a ring, binding screws etc, in varoius sizes. The set has 5 assorted sizes and I find they are quite sharp which means they cut through the leather quite easily with only a few taps of a mallet. These cut cleanly. The sides obviously have holes as well so that you can easily remove the piece of material that you punched out. I actually save the little "dots" when punching leather to use as tiny accents to the journals I create. Excellent set of punches at a nice price. Would buy again if needed.
