Definitely avoid these boxes if you are planning to use them for collectables. They smell terribly musty, like smelly feet, and I wouldn't want to have anything of value stored inside that funk.

These aren't good boxes to store sports cards, too much gap and you have to close a flap into the card spot

Does the trick- bought to store sport cards and have them be better organized. Will still need to put them in a box due to unfinished storage area in basement. Followed other reviewers tip of cutting off the extra flap.

If you're looking for your typical sports card storage boxes, like BCW brand, this is *not it*. The box is too flimsy and thin, and the flaps on the sides make it not functional for storing cards. I gave it a try, and it doesn't work. That's unless you want a flimsy box that has flaps that will smash into your cards when you go to close it. See the pic for how thin the cardboard is...almost looks like paper.
